Skarnsundet Fjordsentre has hosted Norway’s first ever shore fishing festival and after a lot of work and organization the start dates soon came around. I had asked all the anglers to arrive the day before the festival would start. This would give me the opportunity to take the groups around the marks, explaining to them were the are and how to fish them.
9am on saturday the 16th November the festival was started. All the anglers were keen to get fishing. News was soon coming in of a storm that was on its way over the North Sea and heading for Norway. Credit to the anglers who fished on and found sheltered marks that still produce fish. The winds were hitting speeds over 80 mph and the forecasters were saying it was the worst storm in 20 Years!
Massive thanks to the Weston Outcasts and Paul Rodges from Rock Grip for supporting the festival. We had a cracking presentation night at the local pub with a pizza buffet, plenty of trophies and a great raffle earning 500 pounds for a local charity!
James Madsen with the overall winners trophy.
Please keep checking www.nordicsportfishing.com we will be releasing next years festival dates very soon.
Many thanks
Phill
